Grace
S. C. Doe started
her career in the Intellectual Property field by working as a Patent Examiner for
the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) in the area of medical
technology. She has also interned at the United States International Trade
Commission and the University of Pennsylvania Center for Technology Transfer
where she gained experience in patent infringement analysis and intellectual
property protection.
As an
attorney at Knoble Yoshida & Dunleavy, Ms. Doe is experienced in all aspects
of client counseling and patent prosecution, including the preparation of confidentiality
agreements, licensing agreements, employment agreements, patentability
opinions, patent clearance opinions, due diligence opinions, office action
responses, U.S. patent applications, and international PCT applications. She
has assisted clients in obtaining and protecting intellectual property rights
for a wide variety of technologies ranging from complex medical and mechanical
devices to consumer products. Additionally, Ms. Doe has prosecuted U.S. trademark
applications and has successfully negotiated trademark disputes for firm
clients.
Ms. Doe
holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree
from Washington and Lee University School of Law. She is admitted to the Pennsylvania bar and is
registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Ms. Doe
speaks conversational Mandarin, and is a member of the Asian Pacific American
Bar Association of Pennsylvania and the American Intellectual Property Law
Association.
